About Face to Face Counselling Service
I’m excited to be the first blogger for Face to Face, Greater Manchester’s low-cost counselling service for over 18s. We provide low cost, affordable, therapy to adults who are on a low income - a household income of £23,000 or below. We are all volunteer counsellors – trained or in training.
I joined Face to Face as a therapist in 2020 because I wanted to support people who may otherwise find accessing therapy difficult. The low-cost ethos is very important to me. I have worked for the NHS for over 30 years as a nurse, midwife and health visitor, so accessible services have always been important to me – paid for by taxation of course, but free at the point of delivery.
Face to Face is a low-cost counselling service, it is not free; we ask for a contribution of between £5 and £20 per session depending on your income. For that we provide a person-centred therapy service in a comfortable room in St Clements Church, Chorlton, online or via the telephone. The service is tailored to your needs – your counsellor will work with you to plan the number of sessions you need.
So if you feel that you need counselling, you are over 18 living in Greater Manchester, on a low income – get in touch via [email protected] or telephone 0161 881 1535, or complete our digital referral form.
